It's hard to top the last post, so I'm not going to try. Just a few quick updates before I head home to America for a bit (and likely manage to post even less frequently). The passenger and I are doing pretty well. I got to hear the heartbeat last week at the midwife and that was kinda cool. Our next sonogram appointment is for the day we get back to Newcastle and that should provide more in-depth pictures. I don't want to find out the sex of the passenger. Once you tell people which it is, all the clothes end up being the same color. Let's face it, the clothes are for me, not the entertainment of the little one, and I'd like to have variety in the wardrobe. Several people have strong opinions as to what they'd like me to have and there has also been some speculation as to what I'm most likely carrying, but I like surprises and am willing to wait to find out. Dan hasn't given me a solid answer about whether he'd like to know, though, so perhaps we'll see when we get back.
Our whirlwind American tour will start in NYC visiting various friends and family. Then we're off to Ohio to hang out with my family. I'll be staying there for about a month helping my mom as she starts chemo. Dan will head back and embark upon some of his own adventures. I might be able to share some of his excitement with you as he shares stories and photos with me. Then I'll be joining Dan and our friend, Mike, in Paris for a bit of European exploration. Dan and I will return home to Newcastle in mid-July. Whew!!
So keep my mom and sister-in-law in your prayers and have a lovely summer if I don't get to talk to you soon.

Sounds like a busy summer (but also very fun)! Just make sure you get some rest inbetween. It's good to be active during pregnancy, but not too stressed. I'm glad you're not finding out the gender. We didn't with our 2nd and it was really fun. I was the same way about the clothes... but mostly because I am not a big fan of pink. I ended up with 2 boys anyway :) Maybe next time!
I hope you have a good visit with your Mom. I know she's going to be thrilled to have you around :)
