Birthdays!
With so many January birthdays in the family, I thought I'd share a quick note highlighting our recent culinary delights. Penny is seen here enjoying the cake she picked out for Daddy's birthday. She helped to mix the ingredients and put them in the pan. She had contemplated the black forest cake, but instead went with a chocolate mousse, allowing for enjoyment of larger pieces with its lighter and fluffier nature. Daddy said it was an excellent choice. Dan is a big fan of chocolate (he has spent WAY too much time around girls since leaving home and even self-medicates with chocolate on occasion).

Andreas effect under the fence line here), he managed to put together a lovely themed cake with some of Penny's toys. I thought it was pretty good. Dan definitely has some artistic talent in there, as demonstrated with his slightly more complicated decoration of Celeste's birthday cake back in England. Mmmm....now I want some cake.

I am glad your voice is in there to interpret "Sticky". :) I laughed at your previous post's comments on how Penny can get away with singing away in public cause she is so cute. She really is. Hope you guys are well. Did Dan get his package from Amazon? Did you all get your package from England? Life is super quiet here in Poole. Celeste works. I work and study. We explored a cool castle over the weekend (Corfe Castle) which was fun. Hope you guys are staying warm!
We did get the packages in question. Dan was excited about a little light reading. Penny was excited about cow prints. It's good to hear that Poole isn't quite the center of activity that Newcastle was. It means it's more conducive to studying. How much longer do you have in England? I'm sure you'll be glad to get back to some sun in CA. Dan is just starting to put together his thoughts on fourth year and what he'd like to arrange. We'll see how that goes.
