Penny and I are on the road once more. Our new location for holiday excitement and fun is New York. We're still waiting for Dan to join us, but looking forward to scenes like the one at left. I lucked out with our flight here, there was an empty seat next to me on the flight. I don't think it would have been fun to fly even the 90 minutes with two kids in and on my lap.
Life is a little more relaxed here, which is nice for now. I get to actually spend some time hanging out with Penny. Penny also gets to spend some time hanging out with her other grandma. Our early flight made the first few days a little hairy as Penny readjusted her sleep schedule. This gave Grandma some serious worries about Penny's eating and sleeping, but she seems to be getting back to normal now. It's REALLY weird being here and getting asked what I'd like to cook. I've never cooked here before - it's like the awesomest restaurant ever with a spiffy blend of Italian and Indian entrees, desserts and snacks. Now...if there was only a way to cut back on the offers to fatten me up.
Just a few more days until our little family is reunited for a bit. Yay!! Merry Christmas to us.

It sounds like you had a good trip and all is going well. I am glad you and Dan will spend Christmas together. I hate that you are apart so much. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you have a wonderful new year with the new little one added to the family. Penny will have some issues sharing her mom with another person but she will adjust and can be your little helper.
