Just a quick note that I will be overseas no more. My mom's condition has gotten worse and Penny and I will catch a flight today to Ohio. Whew, last minute changes are brutally expensive! My family is awesome, though, and has done a wonderful fund-raising job to help cover the expense. Plus a note from the Dr. should allow us to get $300 worth of change fees refunded. The folks at American Airlines were nice enough to price check every airport in NYC and Ohio for several days to determine the best price without having to wait too long. In any case, we get a mere one layover, which is long enough for us to exit airport, catch a nap, decent food, maybe wash and reload bottles, etc. It'll be a long day, but it's the being trapped in airports that annoys me most so I'm remarkably happy about the 6am-1am schedule.
In any case, we'll be stateside a lot sooner than expected and may see many of you sooner as well. Keep my mom and family in your prayers.
